Three projects in more detail

The challenge

A 900 sq ft apartment in Chow Kit with poor natural light and a layout that felt fragmented. The client had lived there for three years and found the space draining rather than restorative.

Our approach

We removed two partial walls that were blocking light between rooms, shifted the furniture orientation to create a clearer path from entrance to window, and introduced warm-toned materials to compensate for the limited daylight.

The outcome

Client reported that the apartment felt noticeably larger and that she spent significantly more time at home. Project completed via Ambient Design service over 7 weeks.

The challenge

A boutique guesthouse in Bukit Bintang wanted to move away from its generic hotel aesthetic toward something guests would genuinely remember. Budget was limited; the brief was to achieve atmosphere without a full renovation.

Our approach

Using the Glow Consultation as a starting point, we identified the lighting as the primary issue. A targeted lighting redesign, new textile choices, and minor furniture repositioning transformed the reading without structural work.

The outcome

Guest review scores improved notably over the following quarter. The owner later commissioned the full Ambient Design service for a second property based on this experience.

The challenge

A family home in Subang Jaya undergoing full renovation. Two previous contractors had come and gone. The family wanted careful oversight of the third — someone who understood the design intent and could stay present through the build.

Our approach

Engaged for the Warm Handover service. We ran the contractor briefing, set expectations from day one, conducted weekly site visits, and managed procurement for all specified finishes and fixtures.

The outcome

Project completed within the agreed 12-week timeframe. The family moved in without the stress that had marked their previous renovation attempts. The styling session closed the project warmly.
