These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Sela Room website at selaroom.blog and the engagement of our interior design services. By using our website or proceeding with a service engagement, you agree to these terms.

2. Website use

The content on our website is provided for general information and to describe our services. You may browse freely. You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or disruptive to others.

We make reasonable efforts to keep website content accurate and current, but we cannot warrant that all information is complete or error-free at all times.

3. Services

Sela Room offers the following interior design services:

• Glow Consultation (MYR 430) — An initial site visit including spatial observations, natural light assessment, and a mood reference document. Delivered within approximately one week.
• Ambient Design & Visualization (MYR 3,100) — A full design service including spatial planning, material and furniture selection, lighting design, and photorealistic 3D renders with two revision cycles. Typically 5–9 weeks.
• Warm Handover Support (MYR 1,600) — Hands-on support through the renovation and furnishing stage, including procurement coordination, contractor management, site monitoring, and a concluding styling session. Typically 8–14 weeks.

All services are subject to a formal letter of engagement or service agreement issued before work begins. The terms and scope in that agreement take precedence over these general Terms and Conditions.

4. Fees and payment

Service fees are as listed above and are denominated in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Fees may be reviewed periodically; the current fees will be confirmed at the time of engagement.

Payment terms — including deposit requirements and milestone payments — are set out in the individual service agreement. We reserve the right to pause or conclude work on a project where agreed payment is not received within a reasonable period.

Out-of-pocket expenses incurred on a client's behalf (such as material samples, travel outside Klang Valley, or courier costs) may be billed separately and will be discussed in advance.

5. Project scope and changes

The scope of each project is agreed in writing before work begins. Where a client requests changes that fall outside the agreed scope, we will discuss the implications and, if relevant, issue a revised proposal. Changes to scope do not take effect until confirmed in writing by both parties.

Revision cycles included in each service are specified in the service descriptions above. Additional revision rounds beyond those included may be accommodated and may carry an additional fee, which will be communicated clearly before the work is undertaken.

6. Client responsibilities

To allow us to carry out our work well, we ask that clients:

• Provide accurate information about the space, including dimensions, photographs, and any relevant structural or tenancy constraints.
• Respond to requests for feedback or decisions within a reasonable timeframe to avoid delays to the project.
• Ensure that appropriate access is arranged for any required site visits.
• Obtain any necessary consents or permissions from landlords, management corporations, or authorities before renovation works begin.

We are not liable for delays or complications arising from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client, or from third parties outside our reasonable control.

7. Intellectual property

All design concepts, drawings, renders, mood boards, and documentation produced by Sela Room during an engagement remain the intellectual property of Sela Room until full payment has been received.

Upon receipt of full payment, we grant the client a non-transferable licence to use the design materials for the purposes of implementing the agreed design at the specified property. The materials may not be reproduced, shared, or used commercially without our written consent.

We may photograph or record completed projects for portfolio and promotional purposes, with reasonable notice given to the client. If you prefer that your project not be used in this way, please let us know and we will respect that preference.

8. Confidentiality

We treat information about your property, preferences, and circumstances with discretion. We do not share client details with third parties except where required to carry out agreed work (such as coordinating with a contractor on your behalf) or where required by law.

9. Limitation of liability

Sela Room provides design services and recommendations based on information available to us at the time. We are not responsible for the workmanship of contractors engaged independently by clients, or for outcomes arising from a client's decision to modify the agreed design during or after implementation.

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, our total liability in connection with any service engagement shall not exceed the fees paid for that specific service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Cancellation

Either party may end a service engagement by providing written notice. The terms for refund of deposits and payment for work completed to date will be set out in the individual service agreement. In the absence of specific terms, work completed up to the point of cancellation will be billed at an agreed rate and any balance owing will be settled accordingly.

11. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. We hope that any concerns can be resolved informally first — we are always willing to have a direct conversation.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of last update noted above. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
